This spoke volumes to me:

I’m not sure how to do this yet. Or when. There is war within me. A person who wants to create, write, and share and then another person who wants to hold everything close and live a very private life, to defy this very public world. I know grief is an electrical charge amplifying all of my thoughts and feelings, I’m aware. And I’m also discovering grief to be quite sacred. And with that comes more silence.

I’ve been on a grieving journey for 4 years now. Somehow I believed it was shameful to cry when I was a child and the one who deserved all of my tears has been the hardest to grieve, my Mom. Part of that journey now includes overcoming father wounds (great book btw) and figuring out a lot of stuff at the ripe age of 59. Thank you for this well timed message Trina.

Girrrrl! I call it the education we did not ask for! My sister died from cancer after a long battle and I came out of it with a knowledge about cancer that I did not even realize until someone began the same journey and I had this knowledge about fighting and surviving and support!!! The gift was discovered when I was able to offer support to next person starting this journey. Heavy sigh~ It can be beautiful <3

Thank you Trina for being honest about where you are with pain. We have all been there and will be again as long as we are alive! Here's the thing, if we don't share our pain with others, where does it end up? In our guts and that is not a good place for it to be, it is almost as bad as holding onto bitterness, they do nothing for us but make us hard to be around! Will be praying for you today my friend!

First thank you for being transparent and vulnerable. I know for me God's been speaking to me about personal dreams and visions for my life and helping others to get "unstuck" and to begin to dream again! No matter our age, financial situation, social status trauma or pain we've experienced God has a divine purpose for each of our lives. We have to move forward, to step into what He has planned for us, and to be willing to use the gifts He's created in us, as only each one of us can. I encourage curiosity, self reflection and letting God speak into us as only HE can!!💖
